Steve McKay | Chief Executive Officer
Strategy Formulation and Execution
Prior to founding Drive Factor, Steve spent 11 years as a product manager at Progressive and was responsible for marketing and consumer experience for usage based insurance from 2007 to 2010. He also has worked in consumer finance at Capital One and in strategy consulting. He has a JD/MBA from the University of Virginia and an A.B. in economics from Harvard College.
Mac Fraser | Chief Information Officer
Data Architecture and Programming
Mac has more a decade of experience designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise IT systems at companies including Capital One, Circuit City, and FedEx Kinkos. He has an MA in biological anthropology and Bachelor of Arts degrees in both anthropology and classics from the Pennsylvania State University.
Jennifer Linton | Chief Marketing Officer
Marketing and Strategic Alliances
Jen was most recently the US CMO for the UK’s second largest auto insurer. Prior to that, she directed business development efforts and partnerships at Circuit City. Jen was a strategist at McKesson, a Fortune 10 company, and worked on various mergers and acquisitions. Jen’s bachelor’s is in molecular biology and her MBA is from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
Milam Walters | Chief Operations Officer
Engineering and Operations
Milam was Managing Director of Operations at Markel Insurance, where he led the program that restructured the enterprise. As a Senior IT Leader at GE, he implemented large-scale business systems. During his 8 years at NASA, Milam developed new spaceflight systems. He is 6-Sigma Blackbelt, PMP Certified and holds a BS of Engineering and an MS in Engineering from the University of Virginia.
Joseph R. Herbert | Chief Financial Officer
Financing and Operations
Joe has 25 years of senior operating and financial experience in the information services industry including serving as Managing Director and CFO of Greenwich Associates, Vice President and General Manager of Prentice Hall Legal and Financial Services and Vice President and CFO of the Software and Information Services Division of Simon & Schuster. Earlier in his career Joe held senior financial positions with Exxon and Schering-Plough Corporation. Joe received a BA from Bloomfield College and an MBA in finance from St. John’s University.

Larry Rosenberger, Research Fellow, FICO
Larry continues to pursue research projects that advance analytic science as the only Research Fellow at FICO (formerly known as Fair Isaac & Company Inc). Larry served as Fair Isaac Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer and President during the growth years of March 1991 – October 1999, during which revenues soared eight-fold, and further as Vice President of Research and Development, October 1999 – October 2007. Previously, he managed the Engineering, Research, and Development Division. He joined Fair Isaac in 1974.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, he co-authored the book, “The Deciding Factor: The Power of Analytics to Make Every Decision a Winner” in 2009 and he is widely recognized as an innovator in decision technology and how data is used to make business decisions. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a Masters of Science degree in physics as well as Masters of Science and Masters of Engineering degrees in Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley.
Philip D. Moyer, Managing Director, Technology Group, Safeguard Scientifics (NYSE:SFE)
With more than 25 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur, Phil brings significant operational and deal experience to Safeguard Scientifics (NYSE: SFE), where he is responsible for sourcing opportunities in financial technology and Enterprise 3.0. Prior to Safeguard, Phil was President and CEO at EDGAR Online, Inc. (Nasdaq: EDGR); led Cassiopae’s MBO from Capmark; spent 15 years in various senior level positions at Microsoft, including General Manager of the Professional Services Industry, General Manager of Global Customers, and Global Manager Enterprise Services and Partners for the U.S. East Region; and co-founded Orion Systems Group, which was later acquired by SunGard.
Phil began his career at GE Aerospace as a software developer, and since then has served as an Angel Investor in ten companies, ranging from start-ups to $3 million growth companies. Phil holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh, and currently serves on the boards of the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and College of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh, XBRL US, and Safeguard’s partner companies Bridgevine, DriveFactor and Lumesis.
